Joining
the ACG (unfortunatly not possibel anymore)
As stated earlier, the ACG is no official society, but rather a loosely organised network of people with anoles as common interest. "Joining the ACG" means that your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, linked to the list of species you keep, offer, and want, are added to a centrally stored database. In principle, only the ACG administrator has access to the entire database. Originally, it was intended that all transactions could be mediated by the administrator, safeguarding maximal privacy protection. However, during the past time so many transactions have taken place, that it is now obvious that managing all of them is way to much work for a single person. Originally, we left new participants the choice whether or not their personal data were to be displayed on this web site. Again, due to the work load that this would cause to the administrator, this option is no longer fully available for new participants. Instead, new participants are now expected to agree that at least their name and one crucial contact address (this can be an e-mail address, a snail-mail adress or a phone/fax number) are listed on this web site, in conjuction with their species listing.. This allows the other ACG participants to seek contact with them, without administrator intervention. The ACG is expected to be largely self-regulating. However, all (prospective) participants are kindly requested to adhere to the following "rules of the game".

Beitritt

Simply fill out the form below, and click "register with the ACG". Your application will automatically be sent to the ACG administrator, Yann Horstink. By registering with the ACG, you inherently agree to the guidelines for participation stated above. Participants who are found to act in conflict with these guidelines may be removed from the database without notice. After your application has been received by the administrator, you will be assigned a particiapnt code (consisting of a code for your country, plus a number). In order to save space, this code rather than your name is used on the page where the currently kept species are listed. The personal data corresponding to these codes are listed on a separate page. These data consist of the information (required and optional data) you have provided in the application form. Sending of the application form will automatically take you to the page where you are asked to sign up with the ACG's internal communication system, the ACG mailing list. Once your application has been processed (which may take anywhere between a couple of hours to a couple of weeks), you will receive a notice of subscription approval by e-mail. At the same time, your data will appear on the website.
